Today, cmiVFX will begin a trip into the deepest fathoms of visual effectsknowledge. The infinite detail of a destruction scene, needs to be under control at all times. When you destroy something in real life, you grab a sledge hammer and you smash what you want to break. In the world of visual effects, a sledge hammer won't do the trick. It takes many tools to do a proper destruction scene that can be believable to the human eye.

We have come a far way since movies like the MATRIX, which have set the bar for visual effects trickery. Can you believe that movie released back in 1999? The scrutiny of the public eye has honed in on all the flaws that higher definition monitors allow us to view. So to simply say we can teach you all of this in just 3 hours, well? that's a foregone conclusion. We can however create a workflow pipeline that uses your favorite tools, and let you decide the best path for YOU! In this series, we will use Realflow as the main
application for all of the destruction, but we will show you how to prepare materials similarly in Houdini, Maya and 3DS Max. Why? You might be asking your selves right now. The answer is, we simply do not want to leave any stones unturned. This video series will be for ANYONE. It doesn't matter what apps your used to, because we are going to cover them all! This means that these videos are much longer than normal. You will need to drink lots of your favorite energy drink, and make sure you don't have any distractions. If you have children, now might be the time to put them up for adoption. (Kidding of course? or are we?)
